Brandon Roper et Giuseppe Cellura, qui passaient quelques jours en famille, et pour l’occasion, un après-midi à la piscine, venaient tout juste d’échanger un bref baiser dans l’eau, lorsqu’ils ont été interpelés puis sommés de quitter le bassin par une surveillante : «Vous ne pouvez pas faire ça… c’est interdit. Je préviens mon responsable !»
Les deux hommes ne comprennent pas. Tout autour, des personnes s’embrassent, se taquinent et de façon beaucoup plus engagée. D’ailleurs, pendant la conversation, filmée, un autre couple batifole et s’embrasse, plus franchement, sans pour autant être ennuyé le moins du monde : «Parce qu’ils sont hétérosexuels ? Et, si mon père et ma mère se font un bisou ou se prennent dans les bras… vous allez aussi leur demander de sortir ?»
La mère de Brandon interroge également le manager de 22 ans. Mais, pris à partie, il ne peut que constater en effet l’excès de zèle de sa collègue, qui se trouve être aussi sa jeune sœur. Il va bien tenter de tempérer la situation mais, malgré les suggestions des témoins pour l’inciter à s’excuser, elle insiste. Et pourtant, cette soi-disant «interdiction de s’embrasser» n’est pas non plus spécifiée sur le règlement de l’établissement.
«Oui, mais il est interdit de faire l’amour», explique t-elle encore. Mais, personne ne faisait l’amour !?
Menace de plainte pour discrimination ? Et pourquoi ne pas également dénoncer l’agression sur les réseaux ? Malheureusement, depuis que Belinda a mis en ligne la vidéo sur la page facebook de sa communauté, elle est victime d’injures et menaces de mort : «Vous voulez que nos piscines soient envahies d’hommes qui s’embrassent ?!». Dans une interview, Brandon et Giuseppe ont également confié avoir déménagé. Une enquête de police est en cours
Quand à la surveillante, suite à la polémique elle aurait démissionné. Et, dans son communiqué, l’entreprise, «profondément désolée», indique également avoir présenté des excuses au couple et à leurs familles, qui auront été bien malheureusement traités avec désobligeance.

Brandon Roper and his boyfriend Giuseppe Cellura say they were confronted by a pool attendant at the Tehama Ridge pool in Fort Worth, Texas and allegedly told that kissing was banned.
But Mr Roper challenged the ruling, saying heterosexual swimmers, including his sister and her boyfriend, were not being subjected to the same rule.
He filmed an exchange with the 19-year-old female pool attendant and her 21-year-old manager, reported to be her brother, in which he claimed he and his boyfriend had been discriminated against because of their sexuality.
In the video, he is heard saying: “I don’t care if we’re in a gay resort in fricking Dallas – it doesn’t matter where we’re at.
“If my mum and dad want to come here and he scoops her up in his arms and he wants to give her a five second kiss, are you going to kick them out? Hell no.”
Describing the moment he and his boyfriend were allegedly ejected from the pool, he said : “[The pool attendant] came up to the pool side and she said ‘you can’t do that, I’m calling the management'”.
The couple, who have since gone into hiding, both shared the video on their personal Facebook pages last week.
Urging people to share the clip, Mr Roper wrote: “Anybody who ever wanted to end bigotry please share this horrible experience of mine! We can end this narrow minded s*** if we act as one!”
After the incident, Roper’s mum Belinda posted the video on Facebook where she received death threats, and subsequently involved Dallas Fort Worth Police Department, who are investigating.
The company who hired the pool attendant, Bearfoot Management, said in a statement that the woman is no longer employed with them.
“Bearfoot Management and its employees are truly sorry for any actions that have occurred making the family involved in this incident feel they have been treated with any type of disrespect.
“We have reached out to the family and expressed our sincere regret for the incident that occurred.”
