Il y a quelques mois, Joe Morales et Joey Famoso ont touché du doigt leur rêve : celui de devenir parents. Mais leur projet s’est arrêté lorsque la mère biologique qui les avait choisit a décidé de garder l’enfant. Malgré leur chagrin, ce couple américain de Minneapolis a décidé d’aller de l’avant et de renouveler leur désir de fonder une famille : la plus belle chose que peut espérer tout couple qui s’aime.
Joey et Joe ont ainsi décidé de réaliser un clip musical pour déclarer au monde leur désir d’enfants :
“Nous ne te laisserons pas pleurer, et sècherons tes larmes / Nous t’apporterons tout ce dont tu auras besoin pour que ta vie soit parfaite…” chantent les deux amoureux, qui pour justifier la démarche, raconte dans une interview accordée à Today Parents, que les mères qui souhaitent faire adopter leur enfant sont très sollicitées par des familles toutes formidables. Alors, cette chanson était un moyen comme un autre de se dévoiler au monde tels qu’ils sont vraiment : “les réseaux sociaux nous permettent de partager notre histoire. Nous avons reçu énormément de commentaires et de témoignages de couples qui ont adopté mais également d’enfants qui ont été adopté par des couples homosexuels. C’est très encourageant et nous espérons que toute cette énergie positive et ces prières nous aideront à trouver notre bébé” explique Joe sur la page facebook que les deux hommes ont mis en place et sur laquelle ils publient des photos de leur quotidien. >> We are currently on our adoption journey and decided to try something a little different by writing our future baby this love song! We have always dreamed of becoming fathers and hopefully this video will help make that dream come true by connecting us to our future birthmother.
After a failed adoption attempt last fall, Minneapolis couple Joe Morales and Joey Famoso had to say goodbye to their plan to welcome one baby girl into their family. But despite the initial shock, heartache and sheer disbelief, the pair said that now their spirits are renewed, and their commitment and desire to become fathers has been reaffirmed by the experience thanks to a viral video the pair created last month.
To share their message with the world, the couple released a parody video set to the tune of Meghan Trainor’s hit “Dear Future Husband,” which they called “Dear Future Baby.”
In their version of the song, the aspiring dads croon lines like, “We won’t let you cry / Always keep you dry / Even when you diaper makes us wanna freaking die / Cause we will treat you right, give you the perfect life — buying what you need, buy-buying your binkies.”
“We wanted to do something different that stood out, but also showed our personalities,” Morales told TODAY Parents. “We were very intentional about the words used in the song to illustrate the type of dads we will be. There are so many great families for a birthmother to choose, and by doing this, we hope to be one of the top on her list.”
