Après que les trois éditions précédentes aient été interdites par les autorités serbes, par “soucis de sécurité”, “La Gay Pride à Belgrade aura lieu cette année le 31 mai.

L’itinéraire prévu de la marche ira de la place Slavija à la place de la République” dans le centre de Belgrade, ont annoncé les organisateurs sur leur site internet www.parada.rs.
En 2013, les services de sécurité avaient interdit pour la troisième année consécutive la tenue de la Gay Pride invoquant des raisons de sécurité, après que celle de 2010 eut été marquée par de violents incidents.
Les autorités à Belgrade, qui ont ouvert en janvier des négociations d’adhésion avec l’Union européenne, seront observées de près par Bruxelles à ce sujet qui touche à la protection des droits de l’Homme.
La Cour constitutionnelle serbe avait déjà tranché que les interdictions des Gay Pride en 2011 et 2012 violaient la Constitution, mais ces verdicts n’ont pas empêché son interdiction en 2013 pour la troisième année.
Toutefois, l’année dernière des centaines de militants arc-en-ciel ont bravé l’interdiction de la Gay Pride et ont marché dans le centre de la capitale pour se rendre devant le siège du gouvernement où ils ont protesté contre l’annulation du défilé.
En 2010, les violences provoquées par des extrémistes hostiles à la Gay Pride avaient fait plus de 150 blessés, des policiers pour la plupart, et provoqué des dégâts évalués à plus d’un million d’euros.

The parade is scheduled for May 31, and will, starting on May 19, be preceded by a number of events within Pride Week.
Head of the EU Delegation in Serbia Michael Davenport supported the LGBT community in Serbia in its efforts to fight for their rights, and said he would be taking part in Pride Week.
In a letter sent to organizers, Davenport wrote that he fully understood the importance of all the events that they organized to increase the visibility of the LGBT community in Serbia.
Davenport stressed that human rights belong to everyone, including the citizens of Serbia who belong to the LGBT community.
In accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia as well as the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Serbia regarding the prohibition of previous parades, the EU official expressed his hope that this year’s Pride Week will be fully implemented as planned.
Also on Wednesday, the right-wing Dveri movement stated that they would “work actively” to make sure the gay parade is not held.
“We will inform the public of the ways and concrete measures that we will undertake in the coming days. Once we learn about the official position of the government, we will take our stance, and undertake steps,” the movement’s Danilo Tvrdišić told reporters.

Od 2009.godine postoji nastojanje LGBT aktivista da se u Beogradu održi Parada ponosa. Za to vreme ona je četiri puta zabranjena, a 2010.godine Parada, iako održana pod pokroviteljstvom države, rezultirala je velikim neredima što je pojačalo negativnu sliku o LGBT zajednici u Srbiji.
Spontana akcija koja se desila 27.septembra ove godine povratila je dostojanstvo LGBT zajednici: ona je preuzela svoja prava u svoje ruke! Odlučili smo da vratimo ponos LGBT zajednici, da zahtevamo poštovanje naših prava, da vratimo Prajd u vreme koje mu pripada i na ulice na kojima će nas građani videti. Nema više povratka u tišinu, nema povlačenja.
Upravo zato, Parada ponosa Beograd je zakazala Nedelju ponosa 2014, koja će biti održana od 25. do 30.maja naredne godine, a protestna šetnja zakazana je za 31.maj na relaciji Slavija – Trg Republike.
Ljudska prava ne treba da budu deo političkih kalkulacija i manipulacija. LGBT zajednica je odlučna da se bori za svoja prava jer samo poštovanje svih manjinskih grupa može da dovede do poštovanja prava svih građana Srbije.
